Der sehr wahre und viel zitierte Ausspruch, „Das erste Opfer des Krieges ist die Wahrheit“ muss dieser Tage in seiner Deutlichkeit nachgeschärft werden, denn inzwischen müsste man ihn so umformulieren: „Die Grundvoraussetzung für jeden Krieg ist die Lüge!“
