The UK is grappling with an unabated living cost problem as Brits turn to pilfer groceries and alcoholic beverages from convenience stores. Rising food and energy bills are among the major factors fueling inflation. Reported levels of stealing daily are “unprecedented,” says James Lowman, CEO of the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS).
