MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian scientists have succeeded in growing watermelons in the coldest place on the planet – at the Antarctic station Vostok – using panoponics or soilless technology, Russia’s Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) said on Monday.
